The Titans have added kicker Greg Joseph to the 53-Man, placing Ryan Succop on IR. This will end Succops 2019 Titans season. Succop finished the season 1 for 6 in field-goal attempts. That wasn’t good enough for Mike Vrabel. Vrabel said that the new kicker will give the team more opportunities to win. Greg Joseph spent the last few weeks on the Panthers practice squad. He also was on the Cleveland Browns most of 2018. The Titans have also waived their other kicker Ryan Santoso. Vrabel had previously hoped Santoso would do kickoffs and possibly field goals. Joseph will take that role for the Titans. In college at Florida Atlantic, he finished his career hitting 165-170 extra-point attempts. The Titans kicking issues are not the only problem the Titans have faced in the 2019 season. Injuries have also affected them. They’ve lost Edge rusher Cameron Wake, Corners Malcolm Butler and Adoree Jackson, and Guard Kevin Pamphile this season.
Also on Wednesday, the Titans added Nigel Harris to the active roster. The Titans also signed Trevion Thompson, who will go on the Titans practice squad. Thompson originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2019 Draft. He was injured during the offseason workouts and was waived by the Chargers following OTAs. He also spent a few weeks on the Buccaneers practice squad.
The Tennessee Titans play the New Orleans Saints at Nissan Stadium Sunday to bounce back from a lengthy ,excruciating loss against the Texans. Kickoff is at Noon Central Time and 1 PM Eastern.
