Yesterday was Major League Baseball's Trade Deadline and it was arguably the most exciting deadline in the sport's history. Many stars and future stars were traded over the last few days so I'm here to break down and grade each team's deadline. Here are my grades for teams in the AL East:
On Friday, the Tampa Bay Rays and Minnesota Twins made the first big move to kick off the trade deadline season when the Rays acquired designated hitter Nelson Cruz and pitching prospect Calvin Faucher and traded pitching prospects Joe Ryan and Drew Strotman to the Twins.
After trading for starting pitcher Lance Lynn over the offseason, the White Sox announced that they extended their new All Star to two year extension worth $38 million which also includes a $14 million team option or $1 million buyout for the 2024 season.
