Let’s start with the early game. At 3:05 Eastern the Chiefs faced off with the Titans. This playoffs have been the Derrick Henry show and it continued for the 1st quarter. The Titans jumped to a 10-0 lead, after some crazy plays. Then the Chiefs answered with a Tyreek Hill jet sweep TD to cut the deficit to 3. After that, the Titans had a 9 minute drive and scored again. It was 17-7 in the 2nd quarter. Mahomes finds Tyreek for a 20 yard TD to cut the lead to 3! The Chiefs defense finally decided to show up and made a quick stop. Mahomes and crew went marching down the field and on a play with 23 seconds left, Mahomes scrambles left, breaks a tackle, does a shimmy, breaks another tackle, and and scores giving the Chiefs the lead before half. After half it was all Chiefs from there. Derrick Henry following a 188 rushing yard game and a 190 rushing yard game was held in check today. He only had 19 carries for 69 yards and a TD. Sammy Watkins lead the Chiefs in receiving as he caught a 60 yard TD to ice the game.
In the NFC we had the Niners play the Packers. These 2 faced off in week 12 and the Packers got absolutely dominated: 37-8. Well it played out the same again. The 49ers d line was just dominating all night long just like last time. They forced Aaron to fumble twice and in the back end forced 2 interceptions one my Emmanuel Mosley and 1 by Richard Sherman. Raheem Mostert was a monster today. Rushing for about 211 yards and 4 TDs. The Packers had no answers and the 49ers cruised to victory.
On February 2nd at 5:30 Central 6:30 Eastern! It should be a good one and I’m looking forward to it! If the Chiefs want to win they will have to stop the run once again and force Jimmy to throw. The 49ers will have to just clamp everyone and stop the run so it’ll be very hard for both teams and it’ll be a great game! Can’t wait!
