Allonzo Trier Just Got Waived… WHAT

The Knicks have waived Allonzo Trier and have signed Theo Pinson. Theo will have one of the 15 roster spots, meaning he is not on a two-way deal. I only know Theo because of his dance moves, so I don’t get this at all. I was speechless when I saw this.

The Knicks did not give Allonzo a fair chance this year. In 23 minutes Trier averaged 11 points on 44% from the field. Trier is a bucket-getter, and I saw his ceiling to be Lou Williams.

The only way I can understand why the Knicks did this is if they expected Trier to get/want 5+ million dollars in free agency since he was restricted. But I honestly am very confused. I guess I should trust Leon though…
