Is The Knicks Future As Bright As We Think?

Last year the Knicks had a big 3 from the 2018 draft class, people called it the best class from a single team of all time. Mitchell Robinson was an obvious steal, averaging the 2nd most blocks per game in the WHOLE LEAGUE in 21 minutes (mostly due to the fact of his foul trouble issues) which is insane. Knox showed many flashes, being a little inconsistent with some rough defense which is expected as a rookie getting used to the NBA. Trier was also an undrafted steal, scoring at absolute will averaging 12 a game. Obviously since the Knicks were so young, they had a terrible season and were able to pick up RJ Barrett. Barrett looks like he will be a very good player for a long time, being top 5 in every category besides blocks as a rookie. As we look into this year, Robinson is still a monster, becoming a top offensive rebounder in the league, but has to stay out of foul trouble, Knox is still inconsistent, and Trier has barely played. With Trier on a contract year, it seems like he won’t return if he doesn’t get minutes. You have players like Dotson, Randle who have been disappointing. Ntilikina who is way too inconsistent, and the GOAT Ignas Bradzekis has not yet seen real NBA minutes besides in blow outs. Sure these guys are solid, but the Knicks don’t have someone like a Doncic or Young that are special. Hopefully this draft they can get a stud to pair with Mitch and RJ. All Knicks fans have is hope.
