    R.A.Y.S: Ruthless At Your Stadium

The Rays lost their first 5 road contests of the season and many people wrote them off for the 2020 season. We know now that the Rays weren’t worried about their lack of performance as they have won 9 out of their last 10 games away from the Trop after a huge sweep in the Bronx.

After the 4-game sweep at Fenway Park, the Rays took on a talented young Blue Jays team. Bo Bichette and company scored 12 runs against the red-hot Rays. Since that game, the pitching has held opposing teams to only 3.4 runs per game. The offense has also remained elite as the Rays have averaged 6 runs per game. Mike Zunino has gotten hot the last few games as he’s homered twice including a bomb off of Yankees ace, Gerrit Cole. Brandon Lowe has also had continued success as he racked up 3 RBIs and his 8th long ball of the season during the series against the Yankees.

This Rays team is exactly what you get when a well balanced team maxes out its potential. With only 3 more games against the Yankees and an easy back-end of the schedule, the sky is the limit for the Rays and finishing in first place is more than just a possibility.
