The New Knicks Front Office Is Making AMAZING Moves:

At the start of free agency, Knicks fans did not know what was going to happen. After 10 months of no Knick basketball, we were seeing our first look at what Leon Rose and the new front office was going to do.

And, I have to say, I am very pleased.

The first move Leon Rose did was drafting Obi Toppin, Immanuel Quickley, and signing Myles Powell as a UDFA. Obi Toppin is NBA ready right now, and Quickley and Powell can shoot, something the Knicks desperately need. In the draft, the Knicks were able to trade 27 and 38 to 25 and 33, showing a glimpse of Leon’s wizardry.

After, the Knicks were able to take on Ed Davis’ contract and two second-round picks for nothing, and then traded Davis for another second, Omari Spellman, and Jacob Evans. For the first time, the Knicks are using their cap to their advantage, gaining assets for the future, and finally rebuilding properly.

Lastly, the Knicks didn’t overpay for any average players in free agency, and signed solid players like Nerlens Noel, Alec Burks, and more, giving the young guys the real minutes they desperately needed last year.

It is refreshing seeing a competent front office run the Knicks, and even though we will most likely be terrible once again, at least we know we have people leading us in the right direction!
