It is November 19th, and the Knicks roster looks drastically different than it looked for the past 10 months.
Previously, we had a team of:
Julius Randle, Bobby Portis, Elfrid Payton, Moe Harkless, Frank Ntilikina, Mitchell Robinson, RJ Barrett, Damyean Dotson, Taj Gibson, Kevin Knox, DSJ, Theo Pinson, Ignas Brazdeikis, Reggie Bullock, and Wayne Ellington.
However, after drafting Obi Toppin, Immanuel Quickely, signing Myles Powell as a UDFA, and today waiving Elfrid Payton, Taj Gibson, Kenny Wooten, not picking up Theo Pinson or Bobby Portis’ option and not extending the qualifying offer to Damyean Dotson, the team looks mighty different.
The Knicks are finally realizing how to tank properly, and are going young. We are going to let the young guys play real and a lot of minutes, and see who is for real and who needs to go.
The longest tenured Knick is now Frank Ntilikina.
