    Greg Olsen is a Seahawk

Former Panthers Tight End, Greg Olsen, has signed a one-year $7 Million dollar deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Olsen made headlines early in the NFL offseason when he announced he would not retire. Many speculated he would sign with the Chicago Bears, the team that drafted him.

Olsen has struggled with injuries during the twilight years of his career but his 14 games played this year was a nice improvement. Playing just 16 total games between 2017 and 2018, his health was a worry for many potential suitors.

The Seahawks already have a pair of talented Tight Ends in Jacob Hollister and Will Dissly. Dissly had an impressive start to the 2019 season but suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 6.

Olsen was once one of the best Tight Ends in the NFL and the Seahawks certainly think he could return to what he once was. He is 34 years old, noticeably older than the current top Tight Ends in the league. Travis Kelce is 30, Zach Ertz is 29, and George Kittle is just 26 yet the Seahawks still took the risk. Jimmy Graham had great success with the Seahawks when he was signed in 2015, and the Seattle front office can only hope this signing turns out similarly.
